Ethics, gender and innovation

Assessing novel NBS mitigation technologies

Assess novel bio-based treatment strategies (floating wetlands and ZVI-bioelectrochemical wetlands) at laboratory scale to mitigate GW pollution. Related tasks outcome: T2.1 Bio-based mitigation measures and T2.2 Explore a biofilm approach for pollutant mitigation at derelict dumpsites.

Initial Policy brief at local/regional and EU levels

Initial Policy brief at local/regional and EU levels to document a first version of the practical policy recommendations along with suggestions for improving the supporting governance frameworks at local/ regional/EU levels for more effective protection of GW quality. Related Tasks outcome: T6.4 Recommendations on policy and governance at local, regional and EU levels.

Report on environmental risk assessment - initial

Initial report on environmental risk assessment to determine which pollutants present the greatest risk in each site, to define which risk mitigation measures are needed, and to assess the potential changes in exposure routes necessary to meet the targeted ecological environmental protection goals. Related Tasks outcome: T5.2 Environmental risk assessment.

Monitoring plan

Defines the monitoring strategy to determine the pollution sources and degradation of contaminants in GW in the three CS (WP4) and evaluating the performance of the mitigation nature-based solutions (WP5). Related tasks outcome: T2.5 Monitoring plan.

Initial report on dissemination, communication and exploitation activities

Initial report on communication and dissemination of the projects results across the different stakeholders, and also including information related website and social media.Related Tasks outcome: T7.3 Website and social media channels and T7.4 Dissemination, communication and exploitation activities.

Project Management Manual

Project Management Manual will be prepared and distributed among the partners and will compile information on project structure, administrative procedures, meetings schedule, internal quality control forms, etc. Related Tasks outcome: T1.1 Setting up management structure and T1.2 Administrative & financial management, EC relations and Consortium technical coordination.

UPWATER Assessment Framework

UPWATER Assessment Framework to enable complex decision-making by prioritizing constellations of solutions to prevent and mitigate GW pollution will be developed. Related Tasks outcome: T5.1 Assessment framework for analyzing pollution pathways, and assessing related risks and impacts of mitigation measures.

Stakeholder engagement implementation plan

Stakeholder engagement implementation plan, including a set-up, timing and scope of stakeholder engagement and best non-technological preventive practices characterisation will be defined. Related Tasks outcome: T6.1 Stakeholders engagement and policies and best practices analysis.

User Guide for the UPWATER Cloud Ecosystem, including the Data Context system, where data are stored and made available for analysis and exploitation will be hosted in a server or in a cloud service and will be collecting data generated by Sensors or other data sources. Initial Data Management Plan including data policy. The DMP described the data generated and /or collected during the project life and give details about how it will be managed. Additionally, to warrant continuity to the research activities within UPWATER, it is essential that data gathered or produced by the partners are made available as soon as possible to the rest of the consortium.
