This public report will provide an overview of the work that will be conducted within Task 4.1. Specifically, it will present findings obtained by developing a baseline scenario (according to existing regulations) and a sustainable bioeconomy scenario (comprising more ambitious regulations in terms of the sustainable transition) for selected sectors and countries, with a focus on the case study sectors (WP3 and WP5) and the EU level.
Mid-term policy brief: policy priorities to support the sustainable transition and examples of good policies (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This mid-term policy brief will provide an overview of the work that will be conducted within Task 5.1. Specifically, it will present preliminary findings obtained by reviewing the limits of the linear, fossil-based, and carbon-intensive economy (WP1), as well as policy-related opportunities and barriers for the sustainable transition, as identified in the literature and EU H2020 and BBI projects, through a political perspective.
Report on the prioritisation of the identified limits, as well as the preliminary guidelines and policy recommendations (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This public report will provide an overview of the work that will be conducted within Task 1.3. Specifically, it will present previously identified limits that will be prioritized through pairwise comparisons based on expert judgments. Also, this report will include a list of preliminary guidelines and policy recommendations to be developed and used in WP4.
A case study selection methodology and definition of the selected case studies (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This public report will provide an overview of the work that will be conducted within Task 3.1. Specifically, it will present the methodology through which case studies will be selected. For each selected case study, the scope and system boundaries will be established and presented in the report. In addition, the baseline situation and the circular, bio-based situation will be described.
Review of approaches and identification of research gaps (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This public report will provide an overview of the work that will be conducted within Task 2.1. Specifically, it will present findings obtained by reviewing existing knowledge (pertaining to, e.g., indicators, methods, models, and data) that addresses circularity and sustainability aspects (i.e., environmental, socio-economic) at different levels (e.g., national, regional, sector, product value chain).
Initial exploitation and sustainability plan (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This initial version of the the exploitation, replicability and sustainability plan will facilitate the adoption of the study results by all stakeholders, during and after the project. The plan will outline: (a) assets and their main potential exploitation routes; (b) target groups (per asset) that stand to benefit from their use; (c) the project’s innovation management strategy; (d) general terms of use and relevant IPR provisions; (e) joint exploitation plans for the consortium (or groups of partners, where relevant) and individual partners; and (f) means and procedures for the exploitation of assets, along with a clear action plan.
Initial communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement report (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This public report will provide the preliminary communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement activities that will be implemented within the second half of the project.
Report on the literature gaps and trade-offs (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This public report will provide an overview of the work that will be conducted within Task 1.1. Specifically, it will present findings obtained by reviewing and analysing existing literature (with reference to both academic publications and the grey literature) and recent EU surveys on trends with respect to the environmental, economic, and social limits of the linear, carbon-intensive, and fossil-based economy.
Description of the validation methodology (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This public report will provide an overview of the work that will be conducted within Task 3.2. Specifically, it will present findings obtained through validation steps that will cover the following aspects: applicability, completeness, data availability, and interpretation. The validation approach will also issue guidelines on how to identify and review relevant (publicly) available information (i.e., publications, reports, statistics) and the results of previous environmental, social, and economic assessments.
Initial dissemination and communication plan (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)The dissemination and communication plan will define the strategic approach for implementing tailored communication and dissemination activities to reach target audiences (i.e., ‘target’) based on planned objectives (i.e., ‘purpose’), through formats, channels, and tools (i.e., ‘method’) and the use of tailored messages (i.e., ‘content’) and monitoring indicators.
Advancement of sustainability assessment knowledge: draft (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This document will provide an overview of the work that will be conducted within Task 2.2. Specifically, it will present preliminary findings obtained through desk research in order to address critical (research) gaps and develop knowledge and recommendations on how to fill those gaps.
Preliminary report on the environmental, economic, cultural and social limits of the linear, carbon-intensive and fossil-based economy (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)This public report will provide an overview of the work that will be conducted within Task 1.2. Specifically, it will present findings obtained by identifying and consolidating the challenges faced by the linear, fossil-based economy, related to environmental, economic, and social sustainability aspects, as well as technical, structural, and cultural barriers.
The plan will include information on: (a) what data will be collected, processed and/or generated; (b) which methodology and standards will be applied; (c) whether data will be shared or made open access; and (d) how data will be handled and preserved (including after project completion). PC will develop the DMP based on the template provided by the EC, and update it over the course of the project.
