Farm Health and Safety in the EU: Needs, Challenges and Opportunities (opens in new window)This deliverable synthesises findings from Task 2.2 / 2.5 and Task 3.4. The report will consist of two main sections:Section 1: Understanding Farm Health and Safety Needs – A summary of key challenges identified by the Communities of Practice, drawing on qualitative data to highlight risks, contextual barriers, and suggested solutions. The section outlines roles for farmers, advisors, extension services, industry actors, and policymakers.Section 2: Survey Insights on Risk Engagement – Presentation of results from the Task 3.4 survey, involving approximately 500 responses from farmers and agricultural students. This section analyses the challenges faced in adopting safe practices and identifies the preferred forms of support that would help improve safety engagement.
