Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

The Lightroom project provides training on the EIC Accelerator programme, its objectives and the underlying methodologies for the design of EIC Accelerator projects and applications.

Lightroom is led by The Innovation Loop, on the decision of the European Innovation Council (EIC).

Lightroom aims at increasing the capacity of targeted stakeholders (intermediaries - i.e. organisations and experts providing support to applicants, evaluators, financing and funding organisations) to assist applicants to the EIC Accelerator, and work or evaluate on their projects, in terms of understanding:

1. The objectives of the EIC Accelerator programme
2. Innovation methods and actions to design and submit a proposal

Lightroom offers a training experience based on digital tools supported by artificial intelligence.

Across this experience, the beneficiaries of the training are able to:
• Access to a personal digital training area,
• Consult a knowledge framework on the EIC AI Accelerator programme
• Self-assess their knowledge gaps and needs with respect to this knowledge framework,
• Define a training action plan that best responds to their needs,
• Acquire knowledge via digital tools and training workshops,
• Self-monitor their progress.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

The Lightroom project has developped:
• A knowledge framework on the EIC AI Accelerator programme
•Tools for self-assess by stakeholders of their knowledge gaps and needs with respect to the knowledge framework
•Tools for the definition by training action plans by stakeholders
• Learning material in the form of digital training courses
• Training workshops
• Tools for self-monitoring by stakeholders of their progress in reaching training objectives

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

Lightroom confirmed the need and interest of targeted stakeholders (intermediaries - i.e. organisations and experts providing support to applicants, evaluators, financing and funding organisations) to assist applicants to the EIC Accelerator and work or evaluate on their projects, in terms of understanding:

1. The objectives of the EIC Accelerator programme
2. Innovation methods and actions to design and submit a proposal

Lightroom's experience confirms that it would be useful to gain a deeper understanding of the specific needs of each of the stakeholder groups addressed, and on this basis to further develop the approach and the training tools developed.
