Stable adjoints

Preliminary report on stable adjoint for high Reynolds numbers

CEEC exascale lighthouse cases and their needs

At the end of Phase 1 “Requirements”, this report documents the established resolution requirements in all dimensions; established number of grid points / DOF; Estimates for memory consumption, bandwidth requirements, I/O needs; Established parallelization status, identified target HPC architecture and needs; Definition of current code status and steps towards exascale readinessFurthermore, opportunities for exploiting synergies between the development of the different codes during the project will be described

Communication and dissemination plan

This deliverable will include an analysis of CEEC’s main target audiences. It will accordingly define a communication and dissemination strategy per target audience, including objectives, suitable channels, key messages, and specific activities to be undertaken in the course of the project.

Definition of a common benchmark test case

Overview of code capabilities, equations, regimes, strength and weaknesses; Definition of one or more common benchmark problems and performance metrics

Approach to code generation

Documentation of the results obtained from an evaluation of applying code generation techniques to the different CEEC applications

Approach to workflows, ML-based submodeling, visualization, uncertainty quantification and dynamic resource management

Documentation of the requirements for the techniques developed and/or enhanced within this work package derived from the light-house cases requirements documented in D1.1

Analysis of the CEEC codes and underlying solvers: Requirements and strategies definition

Documentation of the CEEC codes with the focus on the underlying solvers. Definition of the requirements and potential strategies for enhancing scalability, numerical properties, energy efficiency, as well as execution time

CEEC brand and website

By month 4, the CEEC brand will be developed, including a logo, templates, banners for social media and the website. The initial website will be set up and designed accordingly. The design process and website structure will be outlined in this deliverable.
