Deliverables
The deliverable presents the statistical analysis of the results of the choice experiment. The deliverable is successful if it presents the results of the statical analysis in a clear and rigorous way, including the publication of the dataset and codebook in a renowned data archive.
D5.1. Opportunities and requirements for inclusive participation and engagement (opens in new window)The report offers the results of the advanced analysis of democratic innovations conducted in tasks 5.1 and 5.2. It is successful if it systematically analyses data collected in WP2 and WP4 to distill the perceived opportunities and requirements for inclusive participation and engagement and presents the results of the 'topic modelling' of social imaginaries, resulting from democracy lab activities.
D1.1 Report and timeline of (e-) participation and engagement practices (opens in new window)The deliverable presents a report on the history of participation and engagement with a particular focus on the role of sustainability-oriented practices in this field of practice in Europe since WWII. The deliverable is successful if it includes a characterisation of participation and engagement, at different scales (from local to global), since WWII, with a focus on sustainability and environmental civic engagement.
D8.4 Progress Report (opens in new window)The deliverable will provide an overview of the project' progress, including task implementation, deliverables and milestones achieved.
D4.2 Provotypes as a contribution to generative design processes for democratic innovations (opens in new window)The deliverable reports on the results of the first participatory sessions of the democracy labs, including the resulting provotypes. The deliverable is successful if it provides a set of tested and co-created provotypes.
D3.2: Report on social simulations of the quality and inclusiveness of the democracy process (opens in new window)The deliverable shares the results of the implementation and testing of the Dialogue Tool (i.e., delivered in D3.1) and a procedure for the evaluation of the Tool’s contribution to the learning experience regarding the quality of the democratic process, concerning the most vulnerable citizens’ participation and inclusion. The deliverable is successful if it presents a description of the testing of the tool and how to evaluate its contribution to learning and to the quality of the democratic process.
D2.1 Report on perceptions and attitudes toward democracy (opens in new window)Drawing on analysis of European survey data (e.g. European Social Survey) and other cross-country surveys, the report details trends in citizens’ attitudes towards participation and engagement, political trust, and satisfaction with democracy. The deliverable is successful if it presents the results of statistical analyses showing trends in citizens' attitudes.
D1.3 Criteria and indicators for inclusive participation and engagement (opens in new window)This report will systematise a set of criteria and indicators for inclusive participation and engagement for a socio-ecological transformation. The deliverable is successful if it presents the criteria and indicators in a systematic and clear way to support future research.
D1.2 Database and timeline on the history of participation and engagement (opens in new window)The deliverable presents a timeline and database of sustainability-related, innovative, and inclusive participation and engagement practices in Europe since the early days of digitalisation. The deliverable is successful if it includes a database, including specific examples and characteristics of inclusive participation and engagement practices.
D4.1 Generative Design Toolkit for the DLabs (opens in new window)This deliverable presents the results from Task 4.1 and 4.2 and offers a set of insights for recruiting, setting up, and facilitating generative design research and co-creation in the context of democracy lab approaches. The deliverable is successful if it offers an effective methodological guide for democracy lab approaches.
D6.1 Policy Brief (opens in new window)Synthesis of key policy insights from the first 14 months of the project (2 to 5 pages)
D6.3 Policy roadmaps and policy briefs for a sustainable, inclusive, and innovative democracy (opens in new window)The deliverable presents the final policy pathways in pursuit of a socio-ecological transformation and democratic well-being. The deliverable is successful if the roadmaps are presented as summaries in short policy briefs and in dynamic data visualisations and infographics.
D5.2 Perspectives on democratic innovation from the “Inside”, Results of the Fora (opens in new window)The deliverable presents the results of interactive fora sessions conducted with policymakers and bureaucrats in nine countries, thus enabling new insights into policymakers' perspectives on democratic innovation. The report is successful if it offers the results of fora sessions in a comparative way.
D4.3 Report on the collection of individual and collective narrated imaginaries (opens in new window)The deliverable translates and compiles the different individual and collective imaginaries as well as the solutions resulting from the second and third sessions of the democracy labs. It is successful if it offers concrete social imaginaries and the envisioned solutions resulting from the democracy lab sessions.
D6.2 Policy syntheses and fact sheets (opens in new window)The deliverable presents a synthesis of the key themes for a sustainable, inclusive, and innovative democracy. The deliverable is successful if it provides four policy synthesis documents identifying key solutions that can be implemented to improve participation and engagement, including the interaction between policymakers and citizens via robust and transparent mutual feedback mechanisms.
D7.4 Final Plan for the Dissemination and Exploitation of Results (opens in new window)The final Plan for the Dissemination and Exploitation of results is successful if it contains updated information on the project's past and final dissemination and exploitation activities, including the dissemination and exploitation activities that beneficiaries plan to implement in a period up to 4 years after the end of the project.
D7.2 Plan for the Dissemination and Exploitation of Results (opens in new window)The Plan for the Dissemination and Exploitation of Results (first version) offers a detailed plan for the project's dissemination, communication, and exploitation activities, to achieve the expected impacts and dissemination targets of the project.
D2.2 Case study narratives (opens in new window)The deliverable reports on the case study research, including interview results and documentary analysis (e.g., social media posts, reports, etc.), and describes the different narratives of participation and engagement that the case studies illustrate. The deliverable is successful if it builds on the case study data to offer narratives of participation and engagement.
The deliverable presents the DMP to ensure all data is FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). It will establish a series of criteria that make data findable by other users and signal which data will be accessible or kept confidential due to ethical requirements.
D8.6 Final Data Management Plan (opens in new window)The final data management plan will contain updated information on the project's data published in public repositories. The deliverable is successful if it offers a collection of links to all the project's open datasets in a single final document.
The deliverable describes how to set up a dialogue session including (1) intake sessions with explanation, (2) scenario production and presentation, and (3) reflective dialogue structuring and moderation principles. The material, including the Dialogue Tool itself, will be available online (i.e., on the NetLogo platform and GitHub repository). The deliverable is successful if it presents a prototype of the dialogue tool, plus supporting materials (e.g., recorded explanations).
D4.4 Design Fiction Products (opens in new window)The deliverable comprises of four short stories and videos together with supporting artefacts (news pieces, flyers, advertisements) enabling experience of imaginaries of democratic innovations, and building on the results of the democracy labs' workshops.
"The project's website (using an ""eu.domain"") will be the primary channel for all project communications. It equally works as an open knowledge repository and is one of the main gateways to all other communication channels (e.g., social media channels, data repositories). A project logo will be provided. The website will be updated throughout the project as needed, including with contents to support INCITE-DEM's Community of Practice."
