Deliverables
The Data Management Plan (DMP) will be a deliverable describing how data in the project is to be collected, generated, processed, managed and prepared for reuse to ensure their openness and FAIRness. It will be provided by month 6 and regularly updated. All DMP versions will be available in the Zenodo CRAFT-OA Community and in the Diamond OA commons. The DMP will cover: textual data, training materials, software and plugins, Diamond Discovery Hub (DDH), Publisher Dashboard Service, surveys, interoperability.

The deliverable will be the result of T5.1 and will be used as a basis for the Diamond Discovery Hub technical requirements definition. It will inventory the technical requirements of publications’ aggregators and present them as documentation accessible to diamond publishers.
Reusable curriculum for upskilling trainings (opens in new window)This deliverable will provide the reusable curriculum for upskilling trainings developed within T2.2 and will detail how each is made accessible.
Toolkit for IPTP and IPSP network (opens in new window)The deliverable is a toolkit for the development and management of the network of technical services and platform providers’ institutional units engaged in providing scholarly Open Access publishing services (IPSPs) and IPSPs themselves (IPTP and IPSP network). The governance scheme, community management tools and practices, and support for effective communication will be addressed to enable continuous outreach and future sustainability.
Publisher’s Living Handbook for Diamond Open Access (opens in new window)The deliverable will secure the community knowledge. A living handbook will dynamically offer adopted user-specific project results on standards, policies, resource and skills requirements regarding service operation for institutional journal publishing at RPOs. A summer school will be organised to support uptake of the living book by the IPSPs.
Documentation and guidelines how to onboard IPTP, IPSP, journals, content, tools to Diamond Discovery Hub (opens in new window)This deliverable will help technical staff at RPOs and smaller units outside of academia to support journal publishing technology and add it to their service portfolio, even if they are not familiar with the specifics of this sector. It will also offer opportunities for SMEs, offering services around journal operation.
Deployment and upgrading toolkits and recommendations for OJS and Lodel (opens in new window)This deliverable will support state-of-the-art implementation and operation of journal software, with a specific focus on OJS and Lodel. It will support container virtualisation to enable high SLA levels for journal operations.
Update scalable and adjustable documentation of how to understand the aggregators’ technical requirements (opens in new window)The deliverable will be the result of T5.1 and will be used as a basis for the Diamond Discovery Hub technical requirements definition. It will inventory the technical requirements of publications’ aggregators and present them as documentation accessible to diamond publishers.
Definition of T&I best practices to support new additional Diamond OA journal partners to support single sign-on, and definition of T&I OJP technical architecture and interoperability framework and standards.
Second update communication and dissemination plan (opens in new window)The deliverable will ensure the on-going project to be well connected within the OPERAS infrastructure and the results from the project to be spread throughout different communities and networks. Therefore the communication and dissemination plan will combine apt tools and communication channels, with two planned revisions to accommodate the plan to the dynamic progress of the project.

Short policy brief (opens in new window)Short evaluation of project impact and policy feedback on OA infrastructure developments.
Exploitation and sustainability plan (opens in new window)This document provides descriptions of the project’s key exploitable results, including aspects such as the definition, value proposition, IP management, exploitation path, dissemination activities and adoption.

Recommendation for publishers for handling research supporting data (opens in new window)Recommendation for publishers on the peer review process taking supporting research data into account, storage and preservation of data for accepted publications, support of research reproducibility.
Technical gap analysis and high-level community transition plans (opens in new window)This deliverable will collect typical shortcomings in journal operation to identify the communities' most pressing needs. It will draw on DIAMAS findings and partner's experience.
Report on challenges and help measures faced by OA journals and platforms (opens in new window)This deliverable is the result of two tasks (T3.1 and T3.2) including identification of the primary technical challenges and gaps, as well as help measures, for OA journals and platforms to comply with best practices, standards, requirements and protocols.
Communication and dissemination plan (opens in new window)The deliverable will ensure the on-going project to be well connected within the OPERAS infrastructure and the results from the project to be spread throughout different communities and networks. Therefore the communication and dissemination plan will combine apt tools and communication channels, with two planned revisions to accommodate the plan to the dynamic progress of the project.
Report on standards for best publishing practices and basic technical standards, inspired by the FAIR principles (opens in new window)This deliverable is the result of several tasks including the overview of applicable standards - both publishing standards and technical ones - and best practices, requirements gathering, and recommendations. The defined interoperability framework will align with the outcomes of the DIAMAS project, and will provide input to the overall EOSC technical interoperability framework.
This deliverable consists of requirements analysis for interoperability and exchangeability between publishing software frameworks and implementation of extended metadata support for OJS OAI-PMH JATS-XML interface and a JATS-XML import module in Lodel. Implemented software solutions will be published in github and documented for all users under free open licenses.
OJS plugin for the integration of the OpenAIRE Broker (opens in new window)The plugin will enable the integration of enrichment from OpenAIRE into the local OJS systems via the OpenAIRE Broker Service.
OJS connector for OpenAIRE Research Graph (opens in new window)The existing OJS plugin for exporting publications metadata according to the OpenAIRE guidelines ( https://github.com/ojsde/openAIRE ) will be updated to ensure that metadata records can be aggregated in the OpenAIRE Research Graph, and consequently in the EOSC Resource Catalogue, with the higher metadata quality as possible.
OJS core feature enhancements (opens in new window)The deliverable consists of new core features for Open Journal Systems created in T4.1 and T4.3. The new features and documentation will be published at Github. The features will be available for all users of OJS once released in a future version of the software.
OJS plugin for the EOSC Interoperability Framework on Research Product Publishing (opens in new window)The plugin will implement the alignment with the EOSC Interoperability Framework on Research Product Publishing that is currently under definition by one of the EOSC Future Working Group ( https://wiki.eoscfuture.eu/display/PUBLIC/Research+Product+Publishing+Framework+Working+Group )
OpenAIRE Publisher Dashboard Service (opens in new window)The dashboard service is released in the OpenAIRE infrastructure and publishers can use it to request a dashboard.
