Deliverables
The report will provide an overview of the main educational programs on scicomm offered in the EU, continuing and further developing the mapping carried out in the previous SwafS projects (e.g. QUEST project). It will also report on the needs as emerged from the discussion with the different stakeholders involved in the COALESCE community. The matching of the mapping and identified needs will serve as a basis to design appropriate activities and initiatives in this area by the COALESCE Academy.
Strategies to address critical challenges to effective science-society relations, including misinformation and trust (opens in new window)D2.2 will summarize strategies, defined by previous work and project findings, to help individual scientists and institutions to address critical challenges necessary to build effective science-society relations, including fighting misinformation and building trust.
Communication and dissemination guide for the N&R hubs and networks (opens in new window)Guidelines, with indications, tips, tools and examples of replicable formats for science communication activities and events
Good practice guide for journalists in times of crisis (opens in new window)Good practice guide for journalists in times of crisis to allow journalists to quickly identify, through the CC, the right sources, reliable information and the useful open data to cover science-related topics
Policy briefs on excellent scicomm for urgent societal challenges (opens in new window)To be updated at M30 and M48Policy briefs on excellent science communication for urgent societal challenges and needs where effective scicomm is key, such as Climate Emergency, Health and vaccines, Oceans and Water, Artificial Intelligence & Digital transformation
Science Communication Rapid Mobilisation Roadmap (opens in new window)Science Communication Rapid Mobilisation Roadmap and action plan for rapid mobilisation of scicomm in times of crisis, designed to provide evidence-based information, practices and processes to respond when acute science related controversies arise. The roadmap is continuously updated based on inputs from the T4.2 workshops. It integrates and synergizes data and insights across the entire innovation cycle.
Ethics Management (opens in new window)Ethics Management, including procedures & criteria to identify research participants, Protection of Personal Data and Humans-POPD
