This report will present the various architectures of the MG switch node that have been considered outlining their relative pros and cons in terms of functionality vs implementation complexity as well as the final choice that has been made along with the details of the trade-offs that have led to that choice.

This report will identify and provide a preliminary design of the key technical enabling technologies required for the 6G sustainable transport SDN control, based on the network architecture and algorithms requirements defined in WP2, and the preliminary node and transceivers designs defined in WP3/WP4.

D4.2 Design and demonstration of passive optical components (opens in new window)

Components for efficient routing and coupling of light. Examples include: polarization rotator-combiners, broadband splitters, broadband photonic-plasmonic couplers, broadband dual-polarization edge-couplers.
