Epidemiological Data Inventory

A priority list of lacking epidemiological data will be defined and captured.

Network implementation plan

The network implementation plan is set up to expand the network to subnetworks of other priority diseases and subnetwork of specific expertise. It includes a multi-year iterative staged implementation approach, actively engaging sites and laboratories into the network to expand to at least 6 high-priority subnetworks.

Updated Exploitation and Dissemination Plan

The dissemination & communication (D&C) plan will be updated to boost the visibility of the CTCAN Network and its mission. It will identify and develop D&C activities, produce a schedule for their implementation, identify channels, and develop communication tools and messaging for standardised communication to build the network and CTC Platform brand.

Project handbook

A project handbook detailing the administrative procedures, guidelines and templates for financial and technical reporting, will be generated. It will be a live document, to be reviewed at least every 6 months.

Roadmap for Data Sharing Network

To prepare for future collection, storage, sharing, and querying of standardised clinical data across relevant clinical sites, a roadmap to a data sharing network will be developed. The roadmap will include the high-level critical steps on the trajectory to such a data-sharing network, pursuing the FAIR guiding principles. For example, one of the first critical steps on this trajectory, is the presence of EMRs at the sites, which is why the consortium prioritises to guide sites in setting up EMRs.

Data Management Plan for the CTCAN network - documented guidelines and regulations for collecting, managing, and sharing data

The Data Management Plan sets out a format for data standardisation and a harmonised data management framework that will be acceptable across African countries/regions and allow linkage to existing databases. It includes guidelines, SOPs, and data governance system, considering the FAIR principles and data privacy, GDPR guidelines and as much as possible adhere to open science standards. The DPM will be regularly updated throughout the project duration.

An updated version of the Data Management Plan will be available. The DMP sets out a format for data standardisation and a harmonised data management framework that will be acceptable across African countries/regions and allow linkage to existing databases. It includes guidelines, SOPs, and data governance system, considering the FAIR principles and data privacy, GDPR guidelines and as much as possible adhere to open science standards.
