Connected headset adapting music to emotions

Project description

Personalised playlists that adapt to your emotions

In a world where stress and distraction seem ever-present, finding solace and achieving emotional balance can be a daunting task. Recognising this challenge, the EU-funded ONTBO project emerges as a beacon of hope. Developed to contribute to individual well-being, ONTBO presents a remarkable solution that harnesses the power of neurotechnology and music. Driven by a collection of advanced artificial intelligence algorithms, ONTBO is a software coupled with neurotechnology that revolutionises the way we experience audio content. By integrating with a connected headset equipped with an electroencephalogram, it detects and interprets our real-time emotional state, encompassing factors such as concentration, stress, and relaxation. The project aspires to uplift the spirits, offering a harmonious escape in an increasingly chaotic world.

Objective

This project aims to contribute to individual well-being by offering a device that adapts music to the user's emotions. ONTBO is a software coupled with neurotechnology that detects, interprets and adapts audio content to human emotions in real time. ONTBO measures the emotional state in real time (concentration, stress, relaxation) thanks to a connected headset with an electroencephalogram. The various AIs will then deliver the appropriate playlists to enable the user to reach the desired emotional state.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
