ALPA Kids e-learning platform expansion to the Polish market

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - ALPAWomenTechEU (ALPA Kids e-learning platform expansion to the Polish market)

Período documentado: 2023-07-01 hasta 2024-04-30

The ALPA Kids project focused on expanding quality e-learning opportunities for children aged 3-8 in Poland by localizing their digital games into Polish. This initiative addressed a crucial gap in culturally relevant and personalized educational content available in the Polish language. The expected impact was to enhance educational accessibility and cater to diverse learning needs through an AI-based personalized learning path with learning analytics, helping Polish preschool teachers and parents better track and support children's educational development. By providing these tools, the project aimed to democratise access to quality education and foster a deeper engagement in learning among young children.
The project began with the localization of over 60 games to include elements culturally relevant to the Polish context. This involved detailed content adaptation, translation, and voice-over work to ensure relatability and engagement. A significant achievement was the development of a new ALPA Kids Polish app, which incorporated these games along with an AI-based learning path designed to personalize the educational experience. As well setting up an anonymous data collection system in order to provide extensive learning analytics to users. The project successfully launched the app and engaged local teachers in content validation, ensuring the app's relevance. The team was able to reach 42.000 users in 112 countries and the Polish app has already been opened for 168.000 times, in total 3.1M Polish language games have been played.
ALPA Kids has set a new benchmark in personalized learning by integrating AI and machine learning to tailor educational content to individual learning styles and needs. This approach allows adaptation of content based on user interaction, setting it apart from traditional e-learning platforms. To ensure further success, the project will require ongoing research into user engagement and learning outcomes, as well as partnerships for broader market access and potential commercialization. Continuing to evolve the AI model and maintaining up-to-date content are critical for sustaining the innovation’s impact.
