AUTOMATED PROTOTYPE OF CANCER DETECTION FROM CTDNA

Objective

Floating Genes is a French deeptech startup incorporated in October 2021, developing early cancer detection tools from liquid biopsies. The company focuses on digestive cancers, and especially colorectal and pancreatic cancer, which is mostly detected in stage 4 and show 4.3 month of median survival. Floating Genes has developed and patented molecular biology tools to detect very rare circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in the blood. This will eventually allow earlier cancer diagnosis, precise monitoring and personalized treatment of patients with cancer. 200,000 lives could be saved every year in Europe with such an earlier diagnosis tool.
