The Women TechEU grant has facilitated a series of crucial activities aimed at market validation and product optimization for Textile Change, a company specializing in textile recycling. The project's objectives included validating market demand and ensuring the highest quality standards for Textile Change's output products - cellulose pulp and polyester pellets.
The funding supported various endeavors including the production of test materials, both in the laboratory and on a pilot plant scale, extensive testing of output products, and engaging in dialogue with key fiber producers to establish quality criteria. Through close collaboration with industry partners and rigorous testing, Textile Change has successfully optimized its products, meeting quality parameters set forth by major fiber producers.
Results indicate substantial reductions in CO2 emissions and water usage compared to traditional production methods, positioning TC as a key player in advancing sustainable practices within the textile sector.
