Periodic Reporting for period 1 - SYNAPSE (An Integrated Cyber Security Risk & Resilience Management Platform, With Holistic Situational Awareness, Incident Response & Preparedness Capabilities)

SYNAPSE aims to design, develop and deliver an Integrated Cyber Security Risk and Resilience Management Platform exhibiting holistic Situational Awareness, Incident Response and Preparedness capabilities.
The SYNAPSE platform will include
Incident Response through process automation and orchestration mechanisms, covering organisational/business aspects (e.g. business continuity processes);
AI-enhanced Situational Awareness, encompassing extraction and analytics of actionable and pertinent Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), along with attack early warning and threat hunting systems;
Preparedness through cybersecurity, privacy and business continuity training, covering a variety of training delivery means, allowing the tailoring of the delivery method to the content;
Technical and economic risk management, integrating outputs of (i)-(iii) for performing risk-benefit analyses (including what-if scenarios) to support decision-making and enable risk transfer schemes through Smart Contract-enabled cybersecurity insurance;
Continuous feedback between (i)-(iv), along with standards-based sharing, alerting and reporting (intra- and inter-Member State), based on outputs of (i)-(iii), enabling thus the establishment of shared situational awareness, coordinated response and joint preparedness across EU Member States.
