A Proactive Approach to the Recovery and Recycling of Photovoltaic Modules

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

TCM separation process (opens in new window)

A report will be prepared on the processing of the PV modules using ultrasound. An evaluation of the success will be carried out and conclusions drawn for the planned pilot plant. (Redacted info for public publication)

LCA, LCC, SLCA and CBM baselines report (opens in new window)

A report describing Life cycle Analysis (LCA) for the quantification of the environmental impacts of baseline PV production using the functional unit of impact per Wp (watt-peak) of PV energy generation will be provided

Dissemination and Communication Plan (1) (opens in new window)

A Dissemination and Communication Plan to ensure the project promotes the results

Digital PV passport and marketplace defined (opens in new window)

A report summarising the methodology and proposed marketplace for digital PV passports will be prepared. In this report a digital PV Passport is presented containing all the essential information about the PV module and enables, in particular, efficient procurement and use, reuse, reprocessing or dismantling and recycling of PV modules.

Data Management Plan (1) (opens in new window)

A report describing the Data Management plan will be provided. The Data management plan is necessary to ensure data/research outputs are findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR).

PV waste fragmentation (opens in new window)

A report on the mechanical processing of the PV modules will be prepared. The results of the individual processing steps will be included in this report. An evaluation of the success of the individual operations will be carried out and conclusions drawn for the planned pilot plant.

Si refining by chemical method (opens in new window)

A report on the chemical purification of silicon is prepared. In this report, the process parameters and the ecological footprint of the method are evaluated.

Waste PV source secured (opens in new window)

A report on the PV module waste delivered will be prepared, which will include essential module parameters. This overview is essential for the further progress of the work within WP2.
