Objective This research focuses on the increasing prevalence of metabolic liver disease, specifically non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), which is driven by obesity, diabetes, and its related causal connections. NASH is a significant medical challenge with no approved treatments, causing a substantial economic burden. The project aims to investigate the role of oxidative stress in NASH development and progression. By targeting the MAP kinases p38 and JNK, which drive the inflammatory and fibrotic aspects of NASH, our research could lead to new treatment approaches.
