In the current phase of the project (mid-term, 16 months), after a first year dedicated to project design and implementation, the main collaborative and exchange research work is being developed over the following two years to construct the DYSIC (Dynamics of Socioeconomic Inequality in Comparison) measure for international comparative analysis between countries and with which to monitor the situation and evolution of inequalities. It has three variants: DYSIC1 (including three main dimensions: education, occupation, and income), DYSIC2 (adding gender dimension), and DYSIC3 (adding dynamic trends).
Additionally, through the creation of a Living Lab on Socioeconomic Inequalities between Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean (INCASI Living Lab), the project is forging international scientific cooperation on socioeconomic inequalities to solve present and future challenges and prepare diagnoses and practical conclusions that inform the design of innovative public policies aimed at addressing situations of socioeconomic inequality in collaboration with socioeconomic, political, and scientific actors. In this sense, the new DYSIC index, recommendations, guides and action protocols are being prepared and disseminated for their application at local, national and international levels, both in the public or private spheres.
