Gold Standard (GS) baseline and monitoring methodology

Task 4.4. Elaboration and registration of a Gold Standard baseline and monitoring methodology. The baseline methodology estimates the water benefits that would have been created without implementing the project, while the monitoring methodology calculates the actual water benefits from the project, taking into account any water benefits from sources within the project boundary, and enables verification of the realised water benefits in a transparent way.

Risks, Quality and Ethics Management Plan

Task 2.4. Assessment of the ongoing risks, quality and ethical issues (technical and non-technical risk management, communication and quality control activities, and gender, societal and ethical issues like AI and donations) and proposal of contingency plans and mitigation measures.

Environmental impact studies

Task 4.2. Environmental impact studies, that may be an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), or both, depending on the results of task 4.1’s screening phase, requiring both mechanisms require strong citizens’ engagement.

Roadmap for permits and licenses to execute in the project

Task 4.1, subtask 4.1.1. Roadmap for environmental licensing that integrates the requirements of each subsystem within the project and should identify the applicable requirements to initiate the single environmental license (Single Environmental Title, TUA (Título Único Ambiental) in Portuguese), emitted by the Portuguese Environmental Agency (APA).

Gold Standard Project Design Document (GS PDD)

Task 4.5. Elaboration of the Gold Standard Project Design Document following the applicable template (https://globalgoals.goldstandard.org/t-prereview-design-document). It describes the project in detail and explains how it meets the requirements (it has to address water balance, water scarcity, water sensitivity, environmental integrity and sustainable development to obtain the Gold Standard certification.

Plan for CD&E of Results – PCDER including Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) (initial)

Task 3.1. Initial plan for communication, dissemination and exploitation of the project results that will be further updated. It will include stakeholder/target audience identification and analysis resulting in a Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP), communication and dissemination strategies and channels, visual identity guidelines (including logo, templates, etc.), engagement approaches and evaluation mechanisms and a strategy to support the identification and assessment of the CisWEFE-NEX results.
