Identifying bio-based solutions for waste management applicable to humanitarian sector

An objective-oriented plan for dissemination, communication and exploitation of project results, aiming at maximizing the project’s impact. Will be constantly updated during the project. The reference task is T7.1.

Humanitarian sector needs assessment report (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

Humanitarian sector needs assessment report with regard to SWM that will be build from a detailed literature review on SWM in humanitarian settings, field work done by PAH and PIN (focus groups, key informants’ interviews) with community members and local authorities. The information for the report will be also collected from government institutions and non-government agencies, civil society organisations, and when needed 1:1 interviews and consultations will be carried out. The reference task is T3.3

Data collection from partners: state-of-the art and innovative solution (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

This deliverable consists of the data collection template, as well as the compilation of data collected for innovative solutions during T5.1. The reference task is T5.1.

Scoping plan (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

Detailed scoping and its communication plan will be developed which will be included in overall D,C,E plan. This scoping plan will outline the objectives, specific methods that will be used to collect and analyse data from both bio-based sector and humanitarian aid sector, scope statement, a refined timeline for the scoping and details on how the results will be reported and shared with key stakeholders identified in T3.1. It will also identify potential risks and limitations and propose ways to mitigate them. The reference task is T3.2.

This deliverable containts First Practice Abstract of the project in the EIP-AGRI format to allow checking the appropriateness of the Bio4HUMAN content and text for end-users. The reference task is T7.3.

Mid-term policy brief (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

Policy recommendation report, outlining Bio4HUMAN's advise for policy makers regarding the applicability of practical tools to address further R&D&I needs and socioeconomic considerations that will showcase the growing potential of bio-based products and systems usage across diverse humanitarian contexts. The reference task is T4.3.

Gap analysis report (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

This deliverable will report on the identification of gaps and the areas for innovative approaches. It will define the dimensions and point scales that will be devised and agreed specifically for the scoping exercise. It uses a common data extraction sheet and simple rating scheme (constituted by the humanitarian sector priority areas) with these dimensions and point scales. The reference task is T4.3.

Stakeholder analysis (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

This deliverable is a result of T3.1 Mapping the key stakeholders. It will contain information about the key stakeholders in DRC, South Sudan and in Europe. It will focus on analysis of the stakeholders that 1) are potential producers of bio-based solutions in target areas 2) will be affected by the implementation of the solutions (communities, international and national humanitarian NGOs, local authorities) 3) government, and public bodies on national and EU-level involved in policy making for: the sustainable products regulations, regulations and standards for SWM, securing allocation for funding for humanitarian aid and advocating the implementation of effective SWM. The reference task is T3.1.

This report will present a list of identified already existing technological solutions (or solutions being in the pre – production phase which could respond to the needs of the sector identified in T3.3 and the identification of supply chain gaps in SWM system for humanitarian action. The reference task is T4.2.

Description of the type of data generated, collected and/or (re)used, and compliance with FAIR principles. The . The reference task is T1.1.

Project website (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

A project website will be created by Enspire with the aim of marketing the project and its activities across Europe. The website will be kept up to date. The project will use a free website performance assessment to examine the data where the users are coming from. Based on that, the consortium will strategize the project's marketing efforts. The website will offer a subscription for the project newsletter. The reference task is T7.2.
