RF communication system
(opens in new window)
D7.1 will present a detailed description of the interfaces and protocols of the wireless RF communication systems developed in T7.1 and answer the specifications defined in T4.5. The report will show the validation of the RF communication functionality into the CMC for both LV and HV modules (T7.2 and T7.3) at the laboratory scale by approximating the environmental constraints of a battery pack, and including a review of the cyber security aspect. The successful functionality check will mark this deliverable as complete.
Roadmap of collaboration with other EU projects and initiatives
(opens in new window)
Mapping of fellow EU projects and initiatives and strategy to set out a solid collaboration framework, with details on target joint activities. This deliverable will be developed within T13.3.
Solderless connection
(opens in new window)
D5.1 will describe the design of the electrical solderless connections for the power tabs of both prismatic and pouch cells developed in T5.1 (Low and High Voltage modules, at cell level). The design will be the result of a trade-off between mass, electrical resistivity, and manufacturing process, and will be later embedded into the demonstrators in tasks T12.1 and T12.2. The success will depend on the optimal design release.
Threat and risk analysis
(opens in new window)
Detailed assessment of potential risks and threats to the REBORN communication system by conducting a comprehensive threat and risk analysis according to ISO/SAE 21434. Derivation of security requirements for the first and second life of the REBORN system. The deliverable will be successful when the report is completed including all necessary steps: asset identification, threat scenario identification, impact rating, attack path analysis, attack feasibility rating, risk value determination, and risk treatment decision. The deliverable belongs to Task 4.6.
Project Handbook
(opens in new window)
Guidelines, tools and procedures for implementation and management, including risk management, governance, and external communication developed within T1.2. The thorough description of all these details will enable a smooth project implementation.
Modules design
(opens in new window)
Design and development of LV and HV mechanical architecture, pack design and simulations. The outputs of robust, scalable, and modular system design optimized for both electric vehicles (EVs) and stationary energy storage applications will be presented with validation through advanced simulation techniques. This deliverable is linked to Task 5.2 and its success depends on the final design release of the REBORN module and pack.
Stakeholder mapping
(opens in new window)
Identification, mapping and analysis of key REBORN’s stakeholders according to their roles, interest and impact on the identified Key Exploitable Results. This deliverable is related to T14.2.
SoA of the life cycle assessment of repurposing EV batteries to stationary storage
(opens in new window)
Summary of the scientific literature review of Task 12.5 on the study of LCA for 2nd life batteries. This deliverable would be a success when at least 20 papers are studied, particularly on system boundaries.
