Deliverables
This deliverable will report the results of the following activities: (1) the results of the mapping of potential instruments, sources and processes available to cities for mobilising financing for NBS; 2) the development of a tool which maps the potential public (local, regional, EU) and private sources and instruments of NBI financing along with a guidance to access them; 3) the description of the extent to what this tool enables FRC and FLC to identify the most suitable financing sources for scaling up NBS and on-ground implementation of investment plans. Local Living Labs report - V2 (opens in new window)Second report on the activity carried out at living lab level and aimed at reaching consensus among the most accepted, cost effective and sustainable NBS scenarios implemented in the selected urban areas. This deliverable is linked to T5.3.
Local baselines state and URBREATH revisited requirements and technical framework - V1 (opens in new window)The deliverable elaborates on a data-based analysis enriched with collective intelligence information of the current state for each city and includes a data gap analysis and enrichment to allow the measurement and monitoring of the local/ regional and project related KPIs. Further, the deliverable reports on the alignment of the user requirements from local living labs with respect to the technical solutions developed in WP4. This deliverable is linked to T5.1 and T5.2.
Communication, Dissemination & Exploitation Roadmap (opens in new window)The Communication, Dissemination & Exploitation Roadmap contains the plan, methodology, tools, preliminary materials and guidelines of the planned dissemination, communication and exploitation activities to take place over the course of the project. The deliverable presents also the IPR management strategy. This deliverable is linked to T8.1.
Exploitation and Business Plan & Commercialization action report - V2 (opens in new window)The deliverable is the first iteration of D8.4 at M24, and reports on an intermediate market analysis, IPR management, commercialization and exploitation activities, as well as on an intermediate business plan. This deliverable is linked to T8.4.
NBS deployment, monitoring and validation plan & report - V1 (opens in new window)The deliverable reports on the plan for monitoring, deployment, and validation of the selected NBS in FR cities. This deliverable is linked to T6.1 and T6.5.
URBREATH NBS ICT integrated solution - V1 (opens in new window)Integration of the URBREATH technical solution in a unique toolbox that that provides a set of different digital services for end-users (e.g., digital twins, e-participation tools, dashboards and maps, etc.). It will also include the tool for the definition of NBS Key Performance Indicators (NBS KPI Catalogue). This deliverable is linked to T4.3 and T4.4.
Local baselines state and URBREATH revisited requirements and technical framework - V2 (opens in new window)First revision of the baselines and of the alignment of the user requirements from local living labs with respect to the technical solutions developed in WP4. Exploitation and Business Plan & Commercialization action report - V1 (opens in new window)The deliverable reports on the first market analysis, IPR management, commercialization and exploitation activities, as well as on a preliminary business plan. This deliverable is linked to T8.4.
Standardisation report - V1 (opens in new window)This report describes the links established with other EU projects on data spaces and liaise with DSSC to coordinate all common European dataspaces. Additionally, it will also report on the established links with standardization forums and the activity done for ensuring the compliance with the existing standards in the deployment of data space. The deliverable is linked to T7.6.
URBREATH methodological framework for urban greening Living Labs and hybrid/NBS interventions and adaptive pathways - V1 (opens in new window)The deliverable will encompass an assessment of the established exemplary methods employed by cities' collaborative platforms focused on achieving climate neutrality, resilience, and adaptation. Additionally, it will provide a detailed description of the methodology and tools developed for the implementation of the collaborative platforms in cities. This deliverable is linked to T2.1, T2.2 and T2.3.
URBREATH platform requirements (opens in new window)The deliverable will provide a description of the key principles defined for the co-creation of hybrid grey-NBS infrastructure. It will also contain the flowchart for participatory planning and design to be adopted in FR cities. This deliverable is linked to T2.5.
Dissemination & Communication Report - V1 (opens in new window)The deliverable contains the first update of the Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation Roadmap as well as the first overview at M24 of the communication and dissemination activities carried out during the project and communication materials produced. This deliverable is linked to T8.2 and T8.3.
Procurement and city preparation for NBS intervention - V1 (opens in new window)The deliverable depicts a collection of NBS procurement reports for each demo site, to inform the implementation of NBS scenarios suitable for both environmental and wider urban regeneration in the demo sites of FRC. The procurement report for each demo site will give an overview of the outcomes and barriers as well as service providers’ feedback on procuring site specific NBS. This deliverable is linked to T6.3.
Use case scenarios and baselines (opens in new window)The deliverable will encompass the outline of the collaborative creation of transformative pathways alongside the local network of participants and stakeholders from the FR cities. The deliverable will outline the degree to which these pathways can guide the cities, providing a valuable tool for facilitating important strategic discussions and choices. Additionally, the deliverable will include details about the partnership with Net Zero Cities in formulating these pathways. This deliverable is linked to T2.4.
Local Living Labs report - V1 (opens in new window)This deliverable reports on the activity carried out at living lab level and aimed at reaching consensus among the most accepted, cost effective and sustainable NBS scenarios to be implemented in the selected urban areas. Activities reported include co-creation workshops with stakeholders, and visualization of the NBS scenarios proposed by the experts by using the decision-making framework and digital twin toolbox customized for the FRC selected urban areas, and the dashboard with the simulated impacts of each scenario in respect to given baselines. This deliverable is linked to T5.3.

Specific institutional and technical NBS framework - V1 (opens in new window)The deliverable describes the co-definition of the set-up framework of the NBS co-created in WP5. Specifically, it describes for each city a commented roadmap of requirements together with the detailed actions to be undertaken and the key actors in charge for their implementation as well as the timing for completion, as well as the activities leading to the co-definition of the roadmaps, such as the 4 co-creation and the 4 validation workshops. This deliverable is linked to T6.2.
Development of a model addressing NBS-specific physical phenomena and data gathered in every FR city to run the model. The data collected will address vegetation and weather areas in the cities as well as local atmospheric conditions. This deliverable is linked to T3.4.
URBREATH Participatory tools - V2 (opens in new window)Adaptation of the tools to FR cities and support of their use during the demonstration phases. Report of the adoption of the tools and pros and cons of their functionalities as well as suggestions for improvement will be also developed at this stage. This deliverable is linked to T4.2.
AI models for socioeconomic, community, organisational, and citizen well-being -V1 (opens in new window)Development of a flexible model of urban community by combining a a socioeconomic model A socioeconomic model of residents and visitors, local economy (production and consumption of goods, services), small businesses, and local governance will be generated, to simulate the function of the core urban community, together with a dynamic population model. This deliverable is linked to T3.5.
AI models for climate change vulnerability assessment and weather forecast - V2 (opens in new window)Simulation of local climate and extreme events in selected local areas of the FR Cities based on the downscaled climate modelling and the local data gathered. Moreover, every FR City will be provided with a daily weather forecast following standard WMS protocol and production of one to six-month seasonal forecast for every FR-city. This deliverable is linked to T3.1, T3.2 and T3.3.
Numerical modelling for the NBSs - V2 (opens in new window)The model addressing NBS will be customized for every FR City, so to provide simulated scenarios that assess the potential NBS efficiency based on the KPIs set defined in T4.3. This deliverable is linked to T3.4.
URBREATH Participatory tools - V1 (opens in new window)Realise ICT tools facilitating e-participatory processes by providing a user-friendly web and mobile based open-source toolset to support communication and engagement among stakeholders participating to LL. This deliverable is linked to T4.2.
URBREATH Tools for AI-based algorithms and Data management and monitoring – V1 (opens in new window)Functional specifications of the AI-Based algorithms and tools that will be used in the project: The development of the algorithms and tools that will provide the following functionalities: (a) High Speed Big Data Semantic clustering and Mining; (b) Advanced Statistical Machine Learning (ML); (c) High Level Data Fusion and Reasoning; (d) Scheduling/synchronisation and data assimilation. Additionally, the AI-Based algorithms and tools will be implemented in FR Cities. This deliverable is linked to T3.6.
AI models for climate change vulnerability assessment and weather forecast - V1 (opens in new window)Downscaling of climate modelling at demo site level by translating GCM into local scale. Collection of climate data in FR cities and characterization of their current climate by determining extreme events and climate hazards. Additionally, will be provided the results of the selection and adaptation of Weather Forecast Models to every FR city. This deliverable is linked to T3.1, T3.2 and T3.3.
Local Digital Twin and KPIs catalogue for urban NBSs - V1 (opens in new window)Review and selection of available geospatial data for creating the Digital Twin models and development of 3D digital twin model for the FR cities. This deliverable is linked to T4.1.
AI models for socioeconomic, community, organisational, and citizen well-being -V2 (opens in new window)Adaptation of the flexible model of urban community to FR cities and provision of impact assessment of the socioeconomic effects of the selected NBS scenarios. This deliverable is linked to T3.5.
Local Digital Twin and KPIs catalogue for urban NBSs - V2 (opens in new window)Adaptation of the 3D model to every FR-city and report of its use by the LLs while comparing the simulated effects on urban areas of assessed before and after the adoption of NBS measures in scenarios defined through participatory processes. This deliverable is linked to T4.1.
This report will contain the results of the online learning activities for up to four employees from each FRC and FLC to become Certified European Nature-Based Solutions Managers. Conclusions and lessons learned will be also included in the report and used for improving the exploitation effort in other urban areas in EU. The deliverable is linked to T7.1.
Customized URBREATH decision making framework for Pilots - V1 (opens in new window)The deliverable reports on the information gathered on the current systems and solutions used in the urban planning process within the cities. Further, it elaborates on how and to what extent the overall framework is tailored according to the specific pilots’ needs is done, integrating selected components into their existing IT systems, as well as on the activity of data ingestion, collection and harmonisation to feed KPIs calculation. This deliverable is linked to T5.4, and the first iteration is submitted at M24.
