Deliverables
Details on process trials conducted must be included, along with extensive passivation and optical characterizations. Pro & Cons of the different solutions must be described, and best options highlighted for further tests in final IBC architecture. (T3.1)
Report on optical characteristics of differently prepared photonic crystal structures for LT M12 (opens in new window)This deliverable will focus on the different light trapping characteristics of differently prepared photonic crystals. The preparaed photonic crystals will consist of (I) regular inverted pyramids, which are wet-chemically etched and of (II) regular inverted teepees. For both types the dependency of the optical parameters (reflection, absorption, transmission) of the prepared photonic structures on the preparation conditions will be characterised using angular-dependent sspectrophotometry. The LT potential of these first photonic crystals will be compared with state-of-the-art random pyramid textured silicon. Finally the results are used for evaluation and comparison of the LT potential of the investigated photonic structures. (T2.2)
Description of the fabrication processes for a high efficiency solar cell including BURST building blocks (opens in new window)Based on the list of requirements, detailed process sequences for the fabrication of high efficiency IBC solar cells with BURST building blocks will be elaborated. The most promising routes will be chosen, and necessary improvements and optimizations will be identified. (T4.1)
Modelling report M18 (opens in new window)Description of computational model predicting the opto-electronic response of photonic-enhanced IBC Si cells, and presentation of optimized designs of solar cell configurations explored in BURST including the best sets of parameters for the photonic structures that can maximize PV efficiency.Under task T2.1.
Report on modulated surface texture concepts M12 (opens in new window)This deliverable will focus on the optical comparison of the light trapping exhibited by the two modulated surface texturing approaches with respect to reference state-of-the-art pyrimidally textured silicon. Such a comparison will be carried out by means of angular-dependent spectrophotometry.
Communication and dissemination activities M18 (opens in new window)Report on actions of communication and dissemination. (T7.3)Relying on D7.1, this deliverable will list the activities conducted during the first 2 years of the project.
Demonstrator of a beam shaping module capable of creating a spots line of 1mm, pitch 3um, spot size 1um. Input 532 nm ps laser. (T5.1). Module will include a custom diffractive optical element and specially designed focuser, and will be supplied by Holo/Or to ISFH for integration, including report showing performance was measured and is compliant to requirements as stated above. at least two modules will be measured and supplied. Module to include tip-tilt mount to enable tilt control of <3 arcmin required to utilize the full field of the optic.
Collection of the initial dissemination and communication tools (T7.2)This deliverable will sum up the toolkit to be developed for the project in order to have a one-voice talk including graphic charter, templates, recommendations in terms of confidentiality and acknowledgment.
