A report describing the preliminary design of the compact He to MS heat exchanger tray for the HTHP integration with the MS loop (as from T3.1). The preliminary design will focus on main sizing criteria considering the required working pressures, scales, power rate, and material limitations. The report includes a review of potential design alternatives and preliminary selection for the I-UPS HX.
