Deliverables
The plan for dissemination, communication, and exploitation activities will describe in more detail the various measures planned and the target group(s) addressed and will be periodically updated in line with the progress of the project.
Establishment of RMU (opens in new window)The acquired knowledge and increased competence of the Research Management Working Group will lead to the establishment of a more skillful and competent Research Management Unit (RMU), which will become one of the major supporting units of IBISS and a driving force for improved institutional research and administrative support.
Report on EU-based project management trainings (opens in new window)Prof. Orešič from ORU, an experienced project manager with more than 26 international, multidisciplinary projects, will give one training sessions on EU research funding, while the ORU Grants Office will conduct three online training sessions. Following this, the ORU Grants Office will deliver a training course on the financial management of research projects, covering project budget preparation and project implementation. All these courses are aimed for PhD students and ESRs from IBISS and Serbian research institutions.
Report on kick-off meeting (opens in new window)At the beginning of the implementation of the Project kick-off meeting will be organized at which a Project Management Board (PMB) will be constituted consisting of PC and representatives of all partners. The PMB will be the main decision-making body responsible for the detailed implementation of the project.
Report on STSMs in WP2 and WP3 (opens in new window)During STSM at Amsterdam UMC will be analyzed microbial diversity and function (WP2), while during STSM at ORU will be analyzed microbial metabolites in plasma samples from MASLD patients and matched control subjects (WP2), in order to identify those bacteria representative and bacterial metabolites that are potentially beneficial in preventing of the development of MASLD in high-risk patients. This will be accompanied by reverse translational research at FFUL during STSM (WP3), with the main goal of testing the potential of selected metabolites for microbiota-based therapy in preclinical models of MASLD.
Report on DMP (opens in new window)Data Management Plan (DMP) is an essential part of the STRIMHealth projects that will outline the lifecycle of the project data, organization, curation and preservation of the data, during and after the project lifetime. The DMP will be updated regularly over the course of the project.
Report on completed S3 (opens in new window)A Sustainable Scientific Strategy (S3) will improve the scientific excellence of IBISS through the establishment of the MDRU and the Bioinformatics Hub. The key elements of the S3 are the Scientific development pathway, Joint research agenda and Networking strategy, which will be developed in collaboration with the STRIMHealth partners through 2 workshops and 6 Zoom meetings. These activities will provide analyses of the existing gaps in IBISS's scientific and management capacities, outline the strategic axis in metabolic disease research, define the KPIs for scientific excellence and align the IBISS` scientific strategy with a new research pathway for the 5-year period together with improved institutional administrative support.
Report on MDRU establishment (opens in new window)The central part of the Scientific Strategy Strategy is the establishment of Metabolic Disease Research Unit (MDRU), which will arise through the strengthening of IBISS research and innovation capacities in translational research on metabolic diseases and by networking with leading EU institutions.
Report on DMP workshops (opens in new window)Workshops on Open Science and Research Data Management (RDM) will be given by Amsterdam UMC for PhD students and ESRs from IBISS and Serbian research institutions. Obtained knowledge will enhance the development of an RDM platform for IBISS and networking activities with partner institutions.
