Parametric design workflow (opens in new window)

We will produce a report detailing the entire process of parametric design, modeling, and robotic fabrication tailored for selected architectural typologies, such as slab, beam, wall and window. These architectural typologies will serve as case studies for incorporating the software’s optimization for multiple design conditions such as, e.g., adaptive shape-change and load-bearing functionalities.Links to Task 3.1 Design to fabrication workflow for functional and adaptive structures.

Technical report (opens in new window)

We will provide a complete technical report describing the mechanical properties of Biofoam structures designed with the software. The report will discuss the way in which input-output operations are streamlined allowing the software to be able to deal with generic shapes provided in a cad file. Furthermore, we will describe the implementation and testing of multi-objective optimization algorithms in which we consider at the same time multiple features such as elastic displacements and fatigue strength. Finally, we will discuss how the algorithm is able to optimize a shape-changing output in response to a variety of nonmechanical types of input, such as thermal expansion and swelling.Links to Task 2.1 Algorithm extensions and software optimization

Data Management Plan (opens in new window)

Deliverable D5.2 is the initial Data Management Plan (DMP) for the project that outlines how we will handle data both during research, and after the project is completed in accordance with the FAIR principles. The DMP will be delivered during the first six months. We will continuously update the DMP during the lifetime of the project to support successful outcomes for each WP.Links to Task 5.2 Data management.
