European Performing Science Program

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - EPSP (European Performing Science Program)

Reporting period: 2024-04-01 to 2025-11-30

The European Performing Science Program (EPSP) 24-25 has been consolidated as an implemented program that brings researchers closer to the public - and vice versa - and makes their work more tangible and accessible among civil society.
The programme used and will use an innovative approach based on art and culture as a common language and new narratives and communication tools for researchers, that is:
- Training to equip researchers with skills to deal with scientific communication (new narratives);
- Bring researchers and their disciplines to schools through co-creation sessions, debate and conversations focused on the researchers’ works, projects and disciplines by using technology and new language tools (cognitive and emotional);
- The realisation of artistic co-creation based on the work of researchers to show the diversity of science and its impact on the daily lives of citizens (impact and emotional connection with society);
- A round table -performaforum- after the performance experience to promote open science and help stimulate interest in research careers (knowledge transfer).
In the context of the European Science Night, the main potential impact achieved during the project are:
1.- The impact of the creatives on the scientific participants, helping them to create better and new narratives and open-up new views on their current research.
2.- The introduction creatives in the scientific communication as potential multipliers that will expand the impact of the project during their careers.
3.- The real connection between Scientist, Creative and Cultural players and the society.
