Research Infrastructures in a changing global, environmental and societal context

Project description

Conference on how research infrastructures could shape society and the environment

Research infrastructures are vital for advancing scientific knowledge and innovation across various fields. The EU-funded BECORI project plans to organise a conference on research infrastructures during the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2024. Set for 4-6 June 2024, at the Royal Library of Belgium, this 1.5-day event will include a half-day tour dedicated to the visit of research infrastructures. The conference will focus on how research infrastructures contribute to strategic autonomy in a changing global landscape, their societal and environmental impact and the broad ecosystems surrounding research infrastructures.
