Report on the design of ASSETS case studies and corresponding KPIs.This report describes the case studies, determins the research methods to be employed, and defines Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each case study. These cases are strategically positioned in NUTS3 regions corresponding to the NUTS2 regions under investigation. Although all SEOs operate within the realm of social inclusion, they emphasize different aspects: addressing housing issues for Cooperative Sole (Bolzen Bolza-no_ITH10); focusing on Community Care for Soziales Netzwerk Lausitz (Görlitz_DED2D); work integration for Huset Venture (Sydjylland _DK032); work integration for P2P Lab (Ioannina_EL543); rural marginalisation for Fundación Entretantos (Zamora_ES419); Education and Training for Doğa Derneği (Izmir Province_TR310). The co-design of case studies will introduce research tools related to microethnography, including participatory observations, interviews, workshops, and document analysis, among others. Additionally, there is a growing acknowledgment of visual, literary, and performing arts as valid forms of investigation. Artistic tools will be thor-oughly assessed, and if deemed beneficial, they will be adapted to align with the unique perspectives of each individual LL. Consequently, the introduced research tools will be applied and co-developed within each LL surrounding each case study. Contributes to D4.1. UNED is responsible to design case studies and deliver their re-spective KPIs, while all the universities contribute and support.
System and Technical architecture (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)Documentation of ASSETS tech-nical and system requirements and architecture. This document delivers a) the detailed technical architecture and b) the technical specifications of the system, includ-ing its functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and security and c) the User requirements. Further-more, this task will define how the system will be deployed and configured, including hardware and software configurations, network topology, and data storage. On top of this, this task is responsible of the security re-quirements of the system and design appropriate measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availabil-ity of the data and system resources. This task involves configuring a collaborative group with multiple key stakeholders that aims to execute a planning study for obtaining a complete system design. This process ensures that the final design of the system architecture is defined and shaped to meet the needs of all involved parties. Finally, this task is responsible for the elicitation of the user requirements following a use-center approach, such as the Design Thinking -Double Diamond Methodology. Contributes to D5.1. ART leads the definition of the technical architecture and elicitation of the user requirements; AIN supports the task with the description of its own tools in the technical architecture document, all the involved universities provide their input to the elicitation of the user requirements.
Documentation of the SE best practices outside EU (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)Report of the current practises utilised in non-EU countries for knowledge transfer. Within the broader mission of decolonising knowledge production, this deliverable overcomes the geographic bias inherent in existing literature by investigating exemplary practices in SE that go beyond the boundaries of the EU, with a specific emphasis on Turkey and the Izmir Subregion. The Izmir subregion encounters significant chal-lenges related to social exclusion, alongside a combination of urban and rural spatial features. This unique blend positions the region as an excellent candidate for investigating instances of SE with distinct spatial embed-dedness. The documentation will extend beyond that point by using IZTECH as a launching pad to record further international SE practices. The internationally oriented team at IZTECH plays a crucial role in extending the influence of ASSETS activities beyond the EU. The substantial research expertise of the IZTECH team in Asia lays a strong foundation for extracting valuable insights and opportunities for replicating and expanding successful SE practices, but also facilitating widespread dissemination across continents and amplifying the im-pact of ASSETS contributions. Contributes to D2.3. IZTECH is leading this deliverable for documenting best practices beyond EU and UNIBZ contributes to the documentation
Demonstration of the project’s LLs with accom-panying documentation report on the involved actors. The current task is dedicated on establishing the six LLs. These LLs will be strategically positioned between re-gional (NUTS2) and local (NUTS3) levels, serving as collaborative platforms that bring together experts and stakeholders associated with the SEOs under examination. The intentional involvement of NUTS2 and NUTS3 stakeholders fosters a dynamic and inclusive environment, encouraging active participation from individuals and entities across different spatial scales. This interconnected approach ensures a comprehensive co-creation pro-cess, facilitating meaningful collaboration and insights across diverse geographical contexts. The design of the LLs' activities will encompass hybrid workshops and focus groups, conducted both in physical and online for-mats. The approach will adhere to the Most Significant Change (MSC) technique for participatory monitoring, involving the collection of noteworthy change stories from the field level integrated into the co-design process. The identification and engagement of relevant stakeholders are crucial. For the development of the six LLs, the consortium plans to adopt the Quadruple Helix, involving academia, government, civil society, and industry stakeholders. This will specifically entail the recruitment of researchers, regional authorities, and SE stakeholders (NUTS2), complemented by pertinent stakeholders from local authorities and civil society (NUTS3). The selection will be made through egocentric networks associated with the focal points of the examined SEOs. Importantly, ASSETS is dedicated to maintaining gender equality within the LLs of each county. Moreover, the initiative actively aims to include minorities and individuals with disabilities, with a specific emphasis on achieving maximum inclusivity. Contributes to D3.1. P2P is responsible to design the LLs, however all the universities, EMI and the SEOs will support these activities towards the design and implementation of the LLs.
Report on the collected data and repositories of the project and documentation on the cross-regional research of the policy, regulatory and labour frame-works in SE.This report describes the meticulous data collection process within the regions under scru-tiny. In the preliminary quantitative phase, the collaborating entities will systematically gather data from estab-lished sources, aiming to acquire quantitative insights into policies, regulations, and labour conditions relevant to the SE at the regional level. This phase involves an exhaustive examination of existing datasets and statistical information to quantify the impact and effectiveness of SE-related measures, drawing from sources such as the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Quality Composite Index (ESI) by Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), the European Investment Bank (Municipality) Survey and Eurostat regional microdata. Subsequently, the qualita-tive phase involves the generation of comprehensive regional reports, the conduct of semi-structured interviews, and the implementation of participatory observations. Notably, these qualitative assessments will be executed by our esteemed University partners, leveraging their academic expertise and research acumen. The qualitative phase aims to capture nuanced insights, contextual understanding, and the lived experiences of individuals with-in the regional SE settings. This multifaceted approach ensures a holistic and nuanced exploration of the politi-cal, regulatory, and labour landscape within the SE sectors across the European Union. Contributes to D2.5. UNIBZ leads this task and is responsible to coordinate all the involved partners towards efficient data collection.
