Scaling Democratic Innovations: Implications from past practices for future policies (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)Scaling Democratic Innovations: Implications from past practices for future policies. This PUBLIC POLICY REPORT introduces policymakers and practitioners into the research field of democratic innovations with the aim of engaging them with reflections about opportunities and barriers for scaling empirical evidence and lessons from past and present experiences. A corresponding DIGITAL PRESENTATION provides accessible definitions and empirical findings about a selection of relevant types of democratic innovations; (ii) maps the conditions and mechanisms for success and failure resulting from the review of primary and secondary sources through desk research methods (both HORIZON-funded and a weighted selection of non-HORIZON projects) also looking at outside of Europe wherever relevant to the research agenda; (iii) interprets and discusses the implications of these results regarding the different dimensions of scaling; (iv) summarizes future directions for testing and developing a grounded theory of scaling. (v) provides WP1 and WP2 partners with an Appendix containing a literature, review charts, graphs, and data, to feed into the relevant tasks.
