Project description
Resilient API acceleration protocol for industrial services
Industries that use UDP protocols, such as mining and energy, experience high latency and significant revenue losses. To address this, Delta Cygni Labs and the European Space Agency (ESA) have developed XRTC, a resilient TCP-based protocol for API acceleration designed for delay-prone applications. The EIC-funded XRTC project aims to introduce the European deep-tech XRTC to key sectors, validate its market potential, and expand into the global market, with the support of the EIC accelerator. This solution provides faster communication, improved connectivity, and enhanced control over internal communication, addressing everyday challenges in the mining, energy, maritime, and space industries. It enables these sectors to derive business value from space-grade communication capabilities.
Objective
Existing major industries run on UDP protocols and have high latency and low resilience in their communication networks, affecting their output and causing millions of euros in losses or unrealized revenue. Examples of the highest impacted fields include the mining, energy, maritime, and space sectors. TCP-based protocols can overcome these challenges but are limited by transmission delays
Delta Cygni Labs has developed XRTC, an elastic and resilient TCP based protocol for API acceleration, together with the European Space Agency (ESA), to serve delay and disruption-prone business cases. We offer faster communication, better connectivity, and enhanced control over internal communication addressing day-to-day challenges across mining, energy, maritime, and space sectors and allowing them to draw business value from space-grade communication capabilities. With the help of the EIC accelerator, we will launch the European deep-tech XRTC to the key verticals, perform market validation, and expand into the global market.

Net EU financial contribution. The sum of money that the participant receives, deducted by the EU contribution to its linked third party. It considers the distribution of the EU financial contribution between direct beneficiaries of the project and other types of participants, like third-party participants.
