La futura competitividad de la Unión Europea
La Semana de las Regiones Innovadoras de Europa (WIRE, por sus siglas en inglés) es una importante plataforma para que responsables políticos, autoridades públicas, centros de conocimiento y empresas entablen debates sobre los retos y oportunidades de investigación e innovación en las regiones europeas, con especial atención a las oportunidades de financiación de la Unión Europea (UE). En el marco de la Presidencia húngara del Consejo de la UE, el proyecto HUPRES-WIRE, financiado con fondos europeos, acogerá la edición de 2024 de WIRE en Budapest. El tema de este año subraya una prioridad clave de la Presidencia y pretende configurar la futura competitividad de la UE. El acto proporcionará un espacio para analizar las tendencias actuales de la innovación. El programa profundizará en las iniciativas de la UE, entre ellas el concepto de especialización inteligente, el Instrumento de Inversiones Interregionales en Innovación y las Asociaciones para la Innovación Regional.
Objetivo
The National Research Development and Innovation Office organizes The Week of Innovative Regions in Europe under the Hungarian EU Council Presidency on 13-15 November, 2024. The choice of the theme of this year's conference reflects on one of the priorities of the Hungarian presidency and a key factor of competitiveness for the European Union in the upcoming years. The discussions will contribute to the analysis of the state-of-the-art and identify challenges and best practices. The program will cover these topics through examining several initiatives, concepts and tools launched, elaborated and offered by the European Union, such as the Smart Specialization concept, Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) Instrument, the Partnerships for Regional Innovation pilot, Regional Innovation Valleys. In order to get a sufficiently detailed and complex picture speakers will address the effectiveness of these tools, present good practices, and highlight synergies of European and regional funding schemes.
