Data Management Plan (1)

Data Management Plan

A robust data management plan will be put in place from the kick-off meeting. Firstly, an impact assessment may be carried out before the research is launched. This will cover both the privacy impact assessment (PIA) and the data protection impact assessment, using the PIA tool developed by the CNIL (Conseil National Informatiques et Libertés, France). Thus, we will anonymise data. When data is collected, a double backup will be made daily on password-protected external hard disks, with the disks stored in separate locations. An encryption key will also be used to ensure the security of the computers, which will also be password-protected. As the data is collected in remote rural areas, with little or no internet access, the frequency of institutional back-ups will vary. Updated versions will be stored on the CNRS’ secure server.
