LUMI AI Factory - Advanced experimental AI-optimised quantum based platform

Objective

As AI technologies and methodologies continue to advance swiftly, Europe has been actively developing and strengthening the ecosystem of frameworks, environments, tools and services required to boost innovation. This comprehensive approach aims to harmonise AI strategies across the continent, addressing the technology’s challenges and opportunities, while assessing its impact on public and private sectors, and society at large. Leveraging the ongoing momentum and LUMI’s successful history, the Finland led consortium responds to the HORIZON-JU-EUROHPC-2025-AI-01-IBA-02 call by introducing the LUMI AI Factory - Advanced experimental AI-optimised quantum based platform or LUMI-IQ, part of the broader LUMI AI Factory ecosystem, to be procured and installed together with the LUMI-AI supercomputer and leveraging the LUMI AI Factory Service Center.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
This project's classification has been validated by the project's team.
