Direct Air Carbon Capture designed for the Gigaton Scale

Objective

Direct Air Capture (DAC) is set to play a crucial role in solving one of the most complex problems of our time: bridging the emissions gap and cleaning up both historical and hard-to-abate emissions. It’s the only solution that can permanently and verifiably remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. But as promising as DAC is, it’s also an enormous technical challenge, considering that while CO2 levels are high enough to drive our climate change, they make up just 0.04% of the air we breathe.
To truly reduce atmospheric CO2 levels and recover gigatons of atmospheric CO2 each year, DAC technology must be environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and scalable at a global level.
At RepAir, we’re developing the technology that will make make this a reality with our cutting-edge, fully electric DAC technology, engineered as a trully scalable solution at the gigaton scale.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
