Objective
"Building upon France’s National AI Strategy launched in 2018, AI Factory France capitalizes on a thriving ecosystem that has already
fostered over 1000 startups, 9 AI clusters, and significant research achievements under the banner of #AI For Humanity through 2
successive phases with 2.8 B€ invested, making France as the European AI Hub. AI Factory France includes a French governmental
Liaison Committee, ensuring the alignment of AI Factory France roadmap with the national AI strategy.
AI Factory France consortium is led by GENCI associated with academic and innovation affiliated partners: AMIAD, CEA, Cines, CNRS,
France Universités (FU), several French Universities involved into the 9 AI Clusters, Inria, The French Tech, Station-F and HubFranceIA.
With the primary goal of fostering the use of AI for research, innovation and public services in Europe, AI factory France will setup a
unique AI one-stop shop that will act as a front-end to the whole AI French ecosystem.
All these actors bring a comprehensive set of AI-oriented services including access to a wide continuum of public/private compute
services, a rich set of data spaces and AI models, HPC/AI and domain science experts, the access to the wide French training
landscape, talent detection and management as well as for startups access to incubators and VC.
In order to accelerate the adoption of AI in research, industry and public services AI factory France will address the needs of a dozen of
application verticals in Defence/security, Energy, Aerospace, Digital continuum, Edtech, Agriculture, Finance and Humanities
Robotics, Health, Earth science, Materials science and Mobility.
Finally AI Factory France will be fully embedded into the ""AI Continent"" vision announced in April 2025 by the European Commission,
in that goal it will collaborate with the others AI Factories, Antennas and the upcoming AI Gigafactories, as well as with projects/
entities like BDVA, EOSC, Gaia-X, EDIHs, TEF, CoE, HPC-CC or ALT_EDIC."
