Project description
Supporting the EDCTP Africa office for global health partnerships
The proposal responds to the HORIZON-JU-EDCTP3-2025-05-AFRICA-01-IBA call to fund the Africa Office (AO). The AO is part of the Global Health European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership 3 (GH EDCTP3) Joint Undertaking. It is a project to ensure the continued operation of the Africa Office, following a previous grant by GH EDCTP3 in response to the 2022 call for support to set up the Africa Office, a project of the GH EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking. It is expected to facilitate the operation of the GH EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking in sub-Saharan Africa, thereby strengthening the partnership, clinical research, and other global health initiatives in the region.
Objective
This proposal is submitted in response to the Global Health European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnerhsip-3 (GH EDCTP3) Joint Undertaking (JU) call: “HORIZON-JU-EDCTP3-2025-05-AFRICA-01-IBA: Support for the Africa Office of the EDCTP Association”. It builds on the previous GH EDCTP3 grant awarded to the Africa Office (AO) under the call: “GH-EDCTP3-2022-02-02: Grant to identify beneficiary - Support for an Africa office”. The aim of this proposal is to provide support for the operation of the EDCTP Africa office (AO) to facilitate implementation of the Global Health EDCTP3 programme in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
