EUROPEAN CULTURE AND HEALTH HUB - A COLLABORATIVE PLATFORM ENHANCING ARTS, CULTURE AND HEALTH POLICIES, PRACTICE AND RESEARCH

Objective

ECHH strengthens and advances the field of arts, culture, health and wellbeing across Europe, creating a moment for broader systemic change and cross-sectoral collaboration. ECHH will bring together policymakers and practitioners at European, national, regional and local levels from across culture, health, social care, humanitarian, youth and education sectors. ECHH will: 1) strengthen the evidence base underpinning arts and health policy and practice through three online evidence gap maps and the identification of further research opportunities; 2) foster the implementation of the best scalable and replicable cross-sectoral arts and health practices via mixed-methods evaluation (health promotion; mental health and wellbeing of children, young people, and working-age adults at risk of burnout; aging population) and capacity building (MOOC, webinars); 3) raise awareness of the impacts of arts and culture on health, wellbeing and social inclusion through a wide reach awareness raising campaign and targeted sessions; 4) foster policy discussions, knowledge exchange and cross-sectoral cooperation through a dedicated interdisciplinary, interactive hybrid platform; 5) equip policymakers and practitioners with tools, recommendation and practical guides to implement sustainable cross-sectoral policies and programmes in arts and health.
ECHH invests in dynamic stakeholder engagement, providing a collaborative, intersectoral, hybrid platform. This European Culture and Health Hub (ECHub) will serve as a repository for the evidence-based information generated and gathered by ECHH and provide a dedicated platform for project activities, ensuring coherence, visibility and strategic impact. This platform enables both physical and digital stakeholder interaction, cooperation, awareness raising and knowledge sharing. Ultimately, ECHH will demonstrate what works, for whom and in which context, promoting a mixed-model for collaboration and sustainability.
