Objective
TRANSFER addresses the Horizon Europe Destination Innovative Research on Social and Economic Transformations (call HORIZON-CL2-2025-TRANSFO-06). The project develops and tests new approaches to strengthen evaluation and the research–policy–practice nexus in education, with a focus on equity and inclusion. Through a multi-country consortium (Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Norway, Spain, Switzerland), TRANSFER combines state-of-the-art methodologies, participatory evaluation, and digital innovation. Key outputs include: (i) mixed-method evaluation frameworks, (ii) policy briefs and methodological handbooks, (iii) an AI-supported foresight simulator, and (iv) an interactive sustainable web platform. These will be co-created with stakeholders to ensure relevance, usability, and sustainability. The project directly contributes to the systematic use of SSH evidence, the strengthening of evaluation cultures, and the design of effective education policies to reduce inequalities. By embedding foresight and participatory mechanisms, TRANSFER will deliver actionable insights for policymakers, practitioners, researchers, beneficiaries (e.g. parents, learners) and wider communities, fostering a more inclusive, equitable, and future-ready education system in Europe.
