PRofessionalisation and Innovation in Management and Engineering for Analytical Research Infrastructures

Objective

PRIME-ARI is a coordinated initiative led by major European Research Infrastructures (RIs) in the physical sciences and engineering domain, aiming to strengthen the professional capacity and operational excellence of technical staff involved in the lifecycle of Very Large Research Infrastructures (VLRIs). The project responds to the growing demand for advanced skills in project management, systems engineering, financial oversight, in-kind contribution coordination, engineering, procurement, logistics, digital, and workforce mobility.

In line with EU policy priorities and the green and digital transitions, PRIME-ARI will also integrate cross-cutting themes such as artificial intelligence, research data management, and enhanced remote access into its training offerings. Through a combination of modular curricula, practical case-based learning, and inter-infrastructure knowledge exchange, the project will deliver a flexible, transferable training framework tailored to the evolving needs of RI operators and technical personnel.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
