AI-GENERATED DIGITAL TWIN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR HEALTHCARE & LIVING ENVIRONMENT

Objective

AIGENT will create a Pan-European, domain-agnostic digital twin infrastructure that enables rapid design, deployment, and scaling of trustworthy twins across healthcare, the living environment, and other scientific fields. Combining simulation, generative AI, and federated computing, it will deliver decision-ready insights for researchers, clinicians, citizens, housing operators, policymakers.
A three-tier fabric underpins AIGENT: Edge Twin Nodes (ETNs) for privacy-preserving local processing, the AIGENT Nexus (ANX) for orchestration and knowledge, and the AIGENT Compute Platform (ACP) on EuroHPC/AI Factories for large-scale training and simulations. This modular stack ensures interoperability, reproducibility, and scalability, with built-in explainability, uncertainty quantification, and compliance with the AI Act, GDPR, EHDS, and EPBD. Participatory design with end-users shapes both workflows and interfaces. Six pilots in Belgium, Finland, and Greece validate cross-domain transferability: in healthcare (cardio-respiratory, adverse drug reactions, adaptive healthy living) and the living environment (building energy optimisation, district fleet analytics, indoor environmental quality). We will demonstrate no-code authoring by non-technical users and measurable gains: ≥70% scenarios configured by non-technical staff, ≥20% faster deployment, ≥25% lower integration costs, and usability scores ≥75. Risks such as bias, drift, and uncertainty are actively managed through validation pipelines and explainability dashboards. AIGENT aligns with AI-on-Demand, GenAI4EU, EuroHPC AI Factories, Virtual Human Twin, initiatives, and outputs standards-ready assets (ISO, CEN, HL7, OGC). Exploitable results include orchestrator and scenario studio software, deployment packs, interoperability profiles, PETs toolkits, scenario packages, and a Twin Adoption & Co-Design Playbook. AIGENT provides reusable infrastructure that speeds adoption, lowers costs, and empowers decision-makers.
