Objective
HSbooster II will scale up the pilot initiative HSbooster I (2022–2025) into a fully-fledged European standardisation mentoring scheme. Building on the established infrastructure, services, and expert community, the project will expand its reach to both EU- and nationally-funded Research and Innovation (R&I) projects, ensuring that R&I results are valorised through contributions to standardisation. The project will: a) sustain and extend its tested Premium Service (renamed Mentoring service); b) reinforce and enlarge the External Pool of Experts (EPE) in priority and critical technology areas; c) introduce new services, including a Proposal Support Service (PSS) to
integrate standardisation at proposal stage, and a Standards Accelerator Service (SAS) to provide long-term mentoring for projects with high potential for standardisation; d) expand the Training Academy with new courses and modules on soft skills, targeting researchers and research support services; e) design and pilot a recognition system for researchers contributing to standardisation to address a gap in existing knowledge valorisation pathways; f) scale service delivery to EU and nationally-funded R&I projects and g) explore synergies and sustainability with the EC’s Booster services. HSbooster II will be implemented by a lean consortium of partners with extensive expertise in standardisation, education, training, and exploitation, and with direct links to European Standardisation Organisations (ESO), policy frameworks, and the research community.
