Objective
Callyope is advancing precision psychiatry with the first Speech Foundation Model specialised in mental health, addressing Europe's €600B crisis driven by high prevalence, inefficient monitoring, and a shortage of practitioners. Our mission is to enable objective, data-driven and automated symptom assessment for depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia – preventing relapses and reducing costly hospitalizations.
Callyope Copilot - powered by our psychiatry-specific Speech Foundation Model – leverages patients’ speech, medical context and behavioural data (sleep, physical activity) to summarise a clinical case, conduct transdiagnostic mental health assessments, and assess relapse risks.
Unlike traditional patient-reported questionnaires – suffering from poor patient adherence and lack of granularity, Callyope Copilot provides remote monitoring ensuring timely, personalised interventions without putting the burden on patients. They decide when and how their data is analysed, and our technology can then seamlessly monitor their symptoms.
For healthcare providers and systems, Callyope Copilot enhances operational efficiency and improves clinical outcomes by reducing hospitalisation rates. With EIC support we aim to validate our technology in multiple languages, obtain Class II-A Software-as-a-Medical-Device CE marking for major depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and expand across Europe, positioning Callyope as a champion in AI-enabled mental health solutions.
