Spectrum Automation & Backhaul Resilience using Edge-AI

Objective

Spectronite is delivering a fundamental breakthrough in mobile backhaul by creating the first AI-controlled transmission platform for wireless networks. Validated by Tier-1 mobile operators, our beyond-5G air interface technology shatters existing limits in capacity, spectrum efficiency, and energy performance. But our true innovation lies in transforming the backhaul from a static transport pipe into an intelligent, software-defined network layer. For the first time, operators can gain real-time, autonomous control over spectrum usage and interference across the entire backhaul. Powered by advanced AI models, our system predicts, detects, and mitigates radio conflicts—continuously optimizing performance without human intervention. As Europe pushes toward 5G densification and 6G readiness, Spectronite’s platform positions us at the forefront of telecom innovation—unlocking a strategic advantage in spectrum automation, network resilience, and sovereign digital infrastructure.
Spectronite is set to fundamentally transform how spectrum is managed and allocated in mobile networks worldwide, opening the door to faster, much more power efficient network deployment. It enables operators to unlock hidden capacity and reduce spectrum waste, accelerating 5G and prepare 6G rollout. But most importantly, it is key in underserved areas, first throughout Europe, but also in Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia, where spectrum scarcity and deployment costs remain major bottlenecks. We’re laying the groundwork for new regulatory approaches to spectrum sharing and dynamic allocation. The economic and societal impact is significant: more affordable, sustainable, and inclusive connectivity—powered by European deep tech. Spectronite strengthens digital sovereignty, supports climate goals, and brings high-speed access to regions historically left behind.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.

SPECTRONITE
Net EU contribution

Net EU financial contribution. The sum of money that the participant receives, deducted by the EU contribution to its linked third party. It considers the distribution of the EU financial contribution between direct beneficiaries of the project and other types of participants, like third-party participants.
