Transforming Predictive Maintenance (PdM) with Bio-Inspired Magnetic Neurons and GenAI

Objective

Maintenance inefficiencies cost global heavy industries over €1.4 trillion annually. Existing predictive maintenance solutions fall short due to low data accuracy, high computational needs, and poor handling of complex, multi-system failures.
Golana transforms industrial maintenance with an AI-powered assistant that combines proprietary hardware and generative AI. Our system detects anomalies with unmatched precision, explains root causes in natural language, and recommends targeted actions… shifting operations from reactive to intelligent and proactive.
At the core is a breakthrough anomaly detection algorithm based on bio-inspired magnetic neurons, developed with EIC Transition funding. It matches deep learning accuracy while requiring 10x less computational power, 10x less training data, and no fine-tuning, enabling real-time monitoring of any machine, regardless of complexity.
We will evolve Golana into a fully autonomous AI agent for continuous sensor analysis, predictive fault detection, and proactive guidance. Our universal platform supports maintenance teams, engineers, and quality specialists through intuitive heatmaps and AI-generated diagnostics that turn complex data into actionable insights.
Key differentiators include bio-inspired algorithms, high-resolution signal acquisition, compatibility with all machines, and autonomous operation with minimal training. Golana delivers measurable ROI by reducing downtime, optimizing maintenance, and improving efficiency across manufacturing, energy, and heavy industry.
As of today, Golana is already in trials with seven industrial partners across Europe, showing strong results.
The EIC Accelerator will allow us to recruit key talent, finalize development, scale adoption, and establish a European leader in industrial generative AI.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
