Objective
SCIENCE4ALL is a nationwide science outreach initiative coordinated by İstinye University (ISU) under the European Researchers’ Night and Researchers at Schools framework. Conducted in Istanbul, Adıyaman, Malatya, and İskenderun, the project aims to bridge the gap between science and society by inspiring curiosity, inclusion, and trust in research across Türkiye.
Through a combination of hands-on experiments, storytelling workshops, and interactive exhibitions, SCIENCE4ALL will bring research closer to citizens and demonstrate its relevance to daily life, health, and sustainability. Activities will be co-created by Boğaziçi University’s Center for Targeted Therapy Technologies, Bilim Kahramanları Derneği (BKD), and a network of schools, NGOs, municipalities, and universities.
The project will train over 100 researchers and volunteers in science communication, pedagogy, and ethical outreach to engage young people—especially girls and students from disadvantaged or earthquake-affected regions—in STEAM learning. Its flagship European Researchers’ Night in Istanbul will feature the theme “Science, Innovation, Health, Earth, and Life Technologies for ALL”, with discovery pathways on nanotechnology, digital health, sustainability, and space exploration.
By combining creativity, inclusiveness, and collaboration, SCIENCE4ALL will empower citizens to see themselves as active participants in Europe’s scientific future. It will strengthen national capacity for science communication, promote open and responsible research, and build long-term bridges between researchers, educators, and society — truly making science for everyone, everywhere.
