AI-DRIVEN CYBER RISK OPERATIONAL SHIELD

Objective

AICYROS is a next-generation GenAI-powered cybersecurity framework that unites autonomous detection, resilient orchestration, trustworthy deployment, continuous compliance, and real-world validation into a single interoperable ecosystem. Structured around 5 Functional Domains (FDs) (AI-Driven Detection and Intelligence, CyberOps Orchestration and Autonomous Response, Secure Deployment and Assurance, Trust and Compliance Governance, and Validation and Capacity Building), AICYROS integrates 13 modular Enablers (E1–E13) to deliver explainable, regulation-ready, and continuously learning cybersecurity operations across digital infrastructures. Through Cluster 1 use cases (Research & Innovation), AICYROS validates hybrid detection and federated AI resilience in telecom and research environments, enabling continuous monitoring and compliance-by-design. In Cluster 2 use cases (Industry & Infrastructure), it secures industrial operations, robotics, and software-defined vehicles by combining autonomous incident response, compliance automation, and audit traceability. Finally, Cluster 3 use cases (Societal & Public Services) validate explainable AI defence, ethical assurance, and digital trust across media, healthcare, and smart city ecosystems, ensuring transparent, accountable, and human-centric AI operations. Built on Trustworthy and Responsible AI principles and compliant with GDPR, NIS2, and the AI Act, AICYROS introduces compliance-as-code mechanisms to ensure legal and operational continuity even amid evolving threats. AICYROS directly addresses the both expected outcomes of the call. By embedding sovereignty, transparency, and explainability into every operation, AICYROS establishes Europe’s first autonomous, federated, and regulation-compliant cybersecurity ecosystem, bridging science, industry, and public services.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
