Objective
WRISTPRINT by Invis aims to develop an advanced wrist-worn module featuring an AI Biometric Passkey to reach market-ready maturity and compliance with industry standards. Invis addresses the critical need for discreet, passwordless identity and payment authentication, eliminating server-side password risks through secure local storage of credential data.
This deep-tech innovation leverages a unique fusion of physiological biometrics (micro-topography skin scanning) and behavioral biometrics (motion pattern analysis), enabling continuous, in-background authentication directly on the wrist (Edge AI). The technology has been validated in laboratory settings (TRL3 completed) and aims to complete all TRL5 requirements while achieving compliance with PSD3 and FIDO BioLevel 2+ standards and reaching FAR < 0.01% and FRR < 3%.
The project’s impact is transformative: it accelerates typical authentication processes by approximately 2.5 seconds per operation, potentially reducing overall transaction times by up to 50%, while offering a seamless, user-friendly experience. Invis holds the necessary IPR, with patent filings already secured (PCT), supporting both technological and commercial readiness.
By the end of WRISTPRINT, Invis will achieve completed TRL5-level business, investment and technological readiness, positioning the company to: apply for EIC Accelerator funding, secure private investment or access national/regional programmes.
WRISTPRINT technology is designed as a “key on your hand” solution, fully scalable through partnerships with wearable device manufacturers. With funding support, WRISTPRINT will deliver a TRL5-ready, secure and scalable authentication solution with high commercial and investment potential, ready to transform the way people authenticate daily, while supporting EU technological sovereignty through authentication based entirely on local biometric processing, reducing dependence on non-European providers.
