Objective
The project aims to develop and validate a compact, tunable, all-fiber femtosecond laser system delivering sub-100 fs pulses with high pulse energy (>10 nJ) across 1.6–2.0 µm and its second harmonic (0.8–1.0 µm). The system integrates a mode-locked oscillator, fiber amplifier, soliton-based pulse compressor, and an second harmonic generation (SHG) module into a single industrial-grade unit.
The project addresses current market gaps by providing a compact, cost-effective, OPO-free femtosecond source for biomedical imaging, enabling deep-tissue multiphoton microscopy with both fundamental and second harmonic outputs.
