MONITORING AND ANTICIPATORY INTELLIGENCE SIMULATIONS FOR EUROPEAN RESILIENCE

Objective

MANTIS4EUR (Monitoring and ANTicipatory Intelligence Simulations for European Resilience) aims to enhance Europe’s crisis preparedness and response capabilities through AI-powered foresight in human analyst-in-the-loop geopolitical simulations. The project focuses on technological maturation, usability testing and validation via pilots of an existing Mantis' simulation platform, effectively completing TRL 6 by the end of the project. The final goal is to complete and evaluate the system that fuses open-source intelligence (OSINT), social media signals, sensor data, and institutional inputs into an adaptive situational awareness environment empowred by senario simulations for the future considering multiple govermental or corporate actors.

Leveraging explainable AI, probabilistic modeling, LLMs and event simulation, MANTIS4EUR enables early detection of emerging risk scenarios ranging from economical risks to hybrid threats, infrastructure disruptions and natural disasters. The platform supports decision-makers through interactive dashboards, real-time scenario forecasting, and transparent reasoning interfaces, easy for analysts to intervene and model scenarios in flexible directions.

Pilot studies with partners in EU member states and Ukraine will validate the system’s utility for educational, corporate risk management, and policy maker foresight. Ultimately, MANTIS4EUR contributes to a more secure, connected, and resilient Europe, where data-driven anticipation empowers faster and more coordinated responses to complex crises.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
